Events by Knight were asked to produce a corporate summer event. The venue for this party was the prestigious Victoria & Albert Museum, commonly known as the V&A.
The V&A is based in Knightsbridge, Central London andwas built in 1852. It is a fully functioning museum and is home to roughly 4.5million objects spanning 5000 years of art, dating from the ancient times allthe way to the modern era.
When asked to produce an event at a museum such as the V&A the logistics can be very challenging. As mentioned above it is a fullyfunctional museum which doesn’t close to the public until 5.30pm leaving verylittle time to organise and prepare everything for an evening event.
At Events by Knight we have extensive experience working inIconic venues with strict circumstances, therefore we are always able to provide the very best in these tight deadlines.
Creating a spectacular event at such a venue needs a lot of forwardthinking and planning. As soon as the museum closed our production team wereinside preparing for the evening.
Whilst the production team were inside loading in thefurniture and building the stage, bar area and food stations the guests werearriving through the exhibition road entrance into the foyer where they thenhad exclusive access to the Christion Dior exhibitions.
After this they made their way through the beautiful HintzeGallery which we had uplighters installed to highlight the sculptures in theroom. The guests then continued through to the Madejski Garden where thereception was held.
Here the guests were provided with drinks and canapes uponarrival. The stunning building was uplit providing the perfect backdrop forsummer drinks and the amazing string quartet creating a lovely atmosphere.
At 8pm The Dome within the V&A was ready to welcome theguests. Once in The Dome the guests were able to enjoy the food stations, thebar placed in the centre, an edible fragrance section, a photobooth and whentheir legs were tired there was a nice chillout area filled with comfy sofas.
Our production team built a stage and a custom dancefloor wherewe had the Ember Trio and The Throwbacks playing, dancers performing and ourDJ’s entertaining with the Ruddock Gallery as our backdrop.
The Victoria and Albert Museum really is a special place tohost any event and our client was extremely happy with the final outcome asonce again we had got the brief just right!
