Will the UK Events industry recovery start from September 2020?
Well, according to the UK events industry, September 2020 could be the most important month when it comes to the post Covid-19 recovery. It forecasts a rise in bookings and enquiries according to a new survey released.PR and brand communications agency Davis Tanner created the business events sentiment survey in partnership with the business visits and events partnership gathered responses from 556 business events professionals across the UK. The aim of the survey was to help venues, hotels, destinations and other key suppliers in planning recovery action post the Covid-19 pandemic.
The survey revealed:
- 38% of respondents stated September 2020 as the primary month when they expect to see both bookings and enquiries begin and increase
- 12% suggested July as the beginning of the recovery
- 10% believe this will be August
- 13% suggesting it will be October
In relation to the whole industry recovering from the encounter from Covid-19 the results relayed
- 50% believe the industry as a whole will not return to normality for at least 12 months
- 27% believing it could take 9-12 months
