London Zoo

You can never hire another venue like London Zoo with its range of professional and private spaces with views of its animal residents and environments.  It’s a great venue for weddings, parties, conferences and even team building events.

Located at the edge of Regents Park, London Zoo is the world’s oldest scientific zoo.  Sir Stamford Raffles founded ZSL in 1826 and was originally intended to be used as a collection for scientific study only.  However, in the 1830s, the animals of the Tower of London were transferred to the zoo’s collection and it was then opened to the public in 1847.  

As well as being the first scientific zoo, it also was the first to open a reptile house in 1849, a public aquarium in 1853, an insect house and 1881 and a children’s zoo in 1938.  The aquarium was closed however in 2019.
