The Savoy Hotel

Built in August 1889, The Savoy is a 5-star luxury hotelperfectly situated on the River Thames. The hotel was built by Richard D’OylyCarte with the profits he made from his Gilbert and Sullivan opera productions.

The Savoy is a Grade II listed building and was the first luxuryhotel in Britain where electric lights and lifts were introduced throughout thebuilding and most of the lavishly furnished rooms included bathrooms withconstant hot and cold running water. 

Fairmont Hotels and Resorts now manage the hotel and it is knownas London’s most famous. Rich in history and glamour, The Savoy has 267 guestrooms and many event spaces perfect for intimate dinners or extravagantcelebrations.
