Dyrham Park Country Club is an idyllic location for a romantic wedding with its beautiful Grade II listed Palladian Clubhouse that sits inside 200 acres of glorious parkland with fantastic countryside views. A fabulous wedding venue that will provide a jaw dropping backdrop to those all-important photographs.
The venue is on record as being home to John Durham in the 14th century and remained the family home for almost 600 years. Like so many historical places, it was sometimes referred to as Derham. In 1880 it became known as Dyrham Park. Ownership of the estate was passed to the county council in 1938 and then Dyrham Park Country Club was founded in the early 1960s.
The mansion house has now been beautifully restored to its former glory. There is a stunning gateway at the northern end of the estate that they say was possibly built to celebrate the coronation of King Charles II.
