The Hellenic Centre was built like a Swedish gymnastics college in the 1900s. This versatile venue can be used for all kinds of events including classical concerts, theatrical performances, as well as for corporate meetings, product launches, fashion shows, parties and weddings. The spaces can be hired individually or exclusively, the centre piece being the Great Hall.
The Hellenic Centre was founded as a charity in 1994 and it prides itself as a cultural organisation.
The stunning Portland Stone and red brick building was purchased with the help of generous donations and support from many individuals and organisations including Fafalios Shipping SA, the Bank of Cyprus London Ltd and the Governments of Greece and Cyprus.
His All Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I blessed the Centre in 1993 and it was officially inaugurated on 18th November 1994 by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr Glafcos Clerides.
