The Standard Hotel is the first Standard to open in London, with the rest being US based. It was built in 1974 and has a striking 70s glam design. It features walnut panelling, suede leather and shagpile textured walls. The venue has moody lighting within its private booths and a fantastic lobby, great for a fun party event!
The interior designer of The Standard Hotel was Shawn Hausman design, who wanted to give the building a retro vibe. When the building was first created it stood as an office block and public library which formed part of Camden Town Hotel. Since then, the building has had a glass extension to add a restaurant and a club.
The hotel offers 266 rooms for guests to stay in. There are cosy core rooms and even a Kings Terrace room with outdoor bathtubs overlooking the incredible St. Pancreas Renaissance Hotel.
This impressive venue is perfect for a wide range of events!
