Brief:

For this corporate event we had to create the perfect atmosphere for a London top law firm to enjoy a casual evening of client entertaining in the Tapestry room at The NED

The Ned, a grade I listed building that is situated in the heart of central London was the venue for this event. It was designed in the 1920s as the global headquarters for the midlands bank, now known as HSBC.

What we did:

Because of how stunning the room naturally is, we wanted to enhance the room and not hide it’s iconic features.

We placed wireless LED uplighters around the perimeter of the room, profiles and washers around the room in order to enhance it and showcase its beauty.

The room is a great size making it perfect for events, seated with round tables, you could fit approximately 120 guests and long tables around 140 and for up reception/stand up then around 200 guests will fit.

For this stand up styled event we had 180 guests attending meaning we had plenty of room.

Our team worked tirelessly during the set up in order to create the very best outcome. Although we had issues with the loading bay, only 2 hours set up time and a difficult way to bring everything in under the direction of creative producer Kwame Knight he ensured all the logistics were managed.

The colours scheme for the lighting was amber and blue to soften the tapestry. We also put lights in the fireplace too with a red colour to give it an atmosphere and ambiance.

The bar was stocked and canapes were served. We also provided a jazz band that entertained our guests with melodic music for the evening

Even though the set up was challenging, our team at Events by Knight worked brilliantly to create the best event for our client.

The room lit was lit nice and subtle, the event was fully managed meaning our client didn’t have to worry or stress, therefore they could also enjoy the evening themselves.
