Futuristic themed party- Bar Mitzvah Case Study

We were asked to create a futuristic themed party for a Bar Mitzvah celebration. The event was held in One Marylebone, a versatile event space in the heart of London. It was formally the Holy Trinity Church and was designed by Sir John Soane. The venue is a dry hire space which meant we could be completely creative with our ideas, designing and installing all of the elements needed to meet the clients brief.

One Marylebone has two fantastic spaces that we used for this event, The Gallery and Soane Hall. Upstairs in the gallery we put poseur tables, arcade games for the younger guests, silver floating orbs above the bar area and a unique silver photo backdrop for Instagram photos. We uplit the entire space in light green, blue and purple lighting. On the way downstairs we installed an incredible silver balloon installation with neon lights, really keeping in with the futuristic vibe.

In the Soane Hall we added some casual furniture for the younger guests and long tables with ghost chairs for our adults. The room included a custom built multi-tier stage, LED backdrop wall, LED DJ booth, black LED dancefloor and extensive disco lighting to add effects throughout the space. We also had food stations, 2x sliver bars and games such as neuron race, light chaser and a photobooth. Our technical team were onsite to oversee all the Audio-visual requirements.

For the entertainment of the night, we had female dancers dressed in futuristic costumes, our breakdancing waiters (a great surprise for the guests!), a silent disco and music by The Supersonics DJ Live.

Overall the night was a fantastic, fun-filled evening full of dancing and smiles. Our talented team at Events by Knight worked closely with our client in order to make sure the brief was met and we produced a night to remember!
